Welcome to the first annual Act Global! By taking part in Act Global, you’re joining Random Acts staff and supporters around the world to bring our communities together and spread kindness.

What is Act Global?

Simply, Act Global is Random Acts doing Random Acts! All of our staff and regional reps will take part in the same basic act. What does that mean? Well, Act Global is about doing something amazing related to the current #GetKind theme. This time, our #GetKind theme is the Environment and so our Act Global activity this year will be a trash clean up! You can clean your local beach, park, neighborhood, walking trail, school campus, or anything else in your area that needs a little tender loving care. All you need to take part is a willing heart and a can do attitude! We’ll give you the basic outline and you fill in the details.

How can I take part?

The whole idea behind Act Global is to make it easy for you to take part. We’re asking you to do something specific and follow our lead. You can choose to do the event by yourself, with a few close friends, a larger group, with a community group, or even a Random Acts staffer if there’s one in your area. There’s no wrong way to do Act Global! What we want is for you to see what our staff have done with the environment theme in the hopes that you’ll be inspired and emboldend! We know it’s not always easy to come up with ideas for how to get involved, so we hope this will help inspire you and encourage you to think expansively and throw yourselves into the messy and beautiful thing we call life.

I’m game! What now?

Fantastic! This is going to be great! Maybe this is the first time you’ve embarked on a larger act of kindness or maybe you’re an old hand. Maybe you’re somewhere in between. Regardless, Act Global will make you part of a community of people who aim to make the world a kinder place.

For starters, you should consider your local regulations and policies. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble! If you need a permit for your idea, get it! Next, fill out an Act Global submission form. If you need funding for your event, this is how to get it. If you don’t need funding, we’d still love to hear about your project. It’s all in the form! Make sure to keep an eye on all our social media outlets for more information, but if you have any questions, email events@randomacts.org!
