Update 11-22-19: Since it is that time of year where we want to say how thankful we are for our partners, we wanted to take a moment to thank Hot Topic. We have been fortunate enough to work with them on a few campaigns, the most recent of which is detailed below. With the Supernatural fandom and Hot Topic’s powers combined, thousands of dollars have been raised to help spread kind acts across the world. Thank you to Hot Topic for your continued support!

Each year on September 13th, the Supernatural fandom celebrates “Supernatural Day,” which is the anniversary of the show’s premiere in 2005. To honor the occasion this year, the #SPNFamily once again showed the world what they do best: using their fandom as a force for good! Partnering with Hot Topic, Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and our very own co-founder Misha Collins released the “End of the Road” t-shirt. Hot Topic donated 100% of the profits on the day of its release to Random Acts to aid Hurricane Dorian relief efforts and sponsor other acts of kindness. Due to the overwhelming response, Hot Topic continued donations from every online and in-person sale of this shirt through September 15th. The end result? A staggering $280,000 raised!

Port in a Storm

Hurricane Dorian devastated the northwestern region of the Bahamas, with the worst effects felt on the Abaco Islands and Grand Bahama Island. The Category 5 hurricane is being considered the worst natural disaster in recorded Bahamian history, leaving countless survivors without access to food, water, or shelter. The money raised from this campaign will go towards aiding in those relief efforts, and those of us at Random Acts could not be more thankful. Once again, the #SPNFamily has proven that fandom and kindness truly can save lives.

Kindness from the “Hot Topical”

This is not the first time Hot Topic and Supernatural have joined forces to benefit Random Acts. In 2018, a portion of sales from Scoobynatural and other Supernatural merchandise was donated, paving the way for more acts of kindness to be conducted around the world. We at Random Acts would like to thank Hot Topic, the #SPNFamily, and everyone involved in these incredibly generous endeavors. Your contributions are already improving the lives of those in need!
