Changing the world one random act of kindness at a time.

11054403_10103844619453648_4788906354315078912_nAt Random Acts, we’re all about having fun and getting kind — so naturally, we decided that we simply couldn’t miss out on this year’s big San Diego Comic Con weekend. In previous years, we’ve been lucky enough to host charity “protests”, hand out coffee to tired con-goers with the help of our cousins at GISHWHES, share our mission at a panel of nonprofit representatives, and even chase after—er, “assist” our co-founder in handing out pizza to hungry attendees camped out in front of the convention center itself. This year, we’re ready to get out and #GetKind once again. And if you’ll be there, we hope you’ll stop by and say hello! (High-fives and hugs are also welcome.)

What We’ll Be Up To

Do you enjoy the Comic Con protests, but not the anger, insensitivity, and terrifying shouting that often accompanies them? We’ve got just the thing for you! Throughout the weekend, our fearless band of Kindness Heroes will be marching around the San Diego convention center, distributing love, kindness, and hugs wherever necessary (they’ll probably also have some fun goodies and awful dad-jokes, so there’s something for everyone). Come and find us on the following days:

Thursday, July 21

San Diego Convention Center, 5-7 p.m. PT

Friday, July 22

San Diego Convention Center, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. PT20150710_152227

Nerd HQ (The New Children’s Museum), 4-7 p.m. PT

Saturday, July 23

Petco Park, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. PT

Gaslamp District, 4-7 p.m. PT

Sunday, July 24

San Diego Convention Center, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. PT

In addition to our “kindness rally”, our heroes will be performing random acts of kindness over the weekend, so keep an eye out for us! Make sure to pick up a copy of Den of Geek’s special Comic Con edition magazine as well (or browse the e-magazine here) and read up on our mission, what we’ve accomplished, and co-founder Misha Collins’ thoughts on it all.

It’s bound to be a good time, and you won’t want to miss it. We hope we see you there!

(By the way… we have a sudden craving for chimichangas, fish fingers and custard, and pie. Is this normal?)
