Changing the world one random act of kindness at a time.

FR  DE

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Random Acts is celebrating in style! This holiday season, each staff member had $150 to put towards an #RAHolidayKindness act of their choice. Although we encourage spreading kindness all year long, the holiday season is an extra special time to focus on sharing our love, time, and resources with others. We had so much fun making holiday magic happen. It only makes sense to spread the cheer with a blog series telling you all about our staff holiday acts! Let’s see what the Random Acts elves have been up to…

Here at Random Acts, we are fortunate to have staff members all around the world. That means that this holiday season, we were able to spread some global cheer to families in need.

Wishes from Germany

Cologne, Germany

Project Manager Rea Niessen’s place of work puts together a wish list tree every holiday season for local children in need. The wish list items are donated through three organizations: SKM Familienzentrum Ostheim, a family care center which assists children in difficult situations, Cologne Lunchtable, where children can get a warm meal for free, and Caritas Jugenhilfe, which helps children experiencing homelessness. Through these organizations, she was able to purchase gifts for multiple children, including a board game, clothes, and a doll.

Manchester, United Kingdom

Regional Representative Alex Vincent knows first hand how cold winters can get in the UK. That’s why she reached out to The Booth Centre, an organization that helps people at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. In the wintertime, they collect hats, socks, and gloves to distribute and help keep away some of that chill! Alex was able to donate several items with Random Acts funds.

Opening gifts in Italy

Rome, Italy

Social Media Manager Eloisa Armini worked with local church San Martino I Papa to give out gifts to local children whose families come to the parrish weekly to receive food and essential goods. She ordered many of the gifts from Amazon, and when they arrived, wrapped them and added a card. When the time came, she was able to give the gifts herself to the children. As you can see from the photos, the gifts were well received!
