Changing the world one random act of kindness at a time.

Our Annual Melee of Kindness (AMOK) has wrapped up for another year. And what a melee it was! Supporters around the globe came together in an amazing show of kindness, giving all of us hope and encouraging us to do even more.

As always, AMOK participants came up with a wide variety of kind and creative acts. People baked goodies for coworkers and emergency services personnel. They volunteered at animal shelters and donated food and toys. They started pay-it-forward chains at coffee shops and fast food restaurants. People cleaned up lakes and gave books to children. Most importantly, many of you found ways to share small acts of kindness even in the middle of busy weekend activities.

Friends of Random Acts rock painting party in NYCOur own Executive Director Rachel Miner joined the Friends of Random Acts group in New York City for a rock painting party and fundraiser for Saint Luke’s at Mount Sinai Hospital. Co-founder and Board President Misha Collins got his family in on the action, too! They put together wagons full of baskets with personal care items for people experiencing homelessness and delivered them to the drop-in center in Bellevue.

One of the biggest things we saw during this year’s AMOK was that many of you are still incorporating kindness into your daily lives, and that is what gives us so much joy. We are still gathering all the details about the amazing work you all did during the AMOK weekend, so keep an eye on this space for a full report in the near future. In the meantime, if you have a fun AMOK story to share, we would love to hear about it! And as always, thank you so much for helping conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time.
