Holli is a mother, friend, and traveler. Her two children are the light of her life. The three of them have a corgi who is the sweetest fur-baby and always knows how her humans are feeling. Holli is passionate about her beliefs and her relationships. Holli and her children’s lives are built on ‘found family’. She has spent most of her adult life in the medical field, or nonprofit sector, trying to find the best way for her to apply her skill set in order to affect change. She has volunteered to phonebank, canvas, and provide additional support throughout many elections. Vote! Mostly, she just wants to have made a difference and leave a net positive in the world.
If Holli could have any superpower, it would be the ability to transfer emotions temporarily from one person to another allows us a way to be more empathetic to each other.
“Life is very short and what we have to do must be done in the now.” – Audre Lorde
Vivien began volunteering at Random Acts roughly around the time a certain pandemic struck the US (around March 2020), leaving her with a bit of free time. She is very grateful for the opportunity to connect with others in pursuit of kindness and empowering people to act on their best impulses. In her day-to-day life, Vivien spends much of her time representing residential tenants and brainstorming ways to help her unhoused neighbors.
If Vivien could have any superpower, it would be telepathy. Although, her oldest child wisely counsels her that there are consent implications with that superpower and that it’s “icky.”
