Changing the world one random act of kindness at a time.

We’re starting off 2019 with a trip to the frosty pacific northwest of the United States. Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural Convention happens this weekend (February 8-10, 2019) in Seattle, Washington and we’re ready for snow! Whether this is your first convention or you are a seasoned attendee, you are in for a major treat. We will be at the Seattle Westin all weekend, and we’d love for you to come by and see us. Random Acts Project Manager Rea Neissen will be there to help collect some items for the Seattle branch of Move for Hunger.

About Move for Hunger

At some point in our lives, we have moved from one home to another. That process can be tiresome, and oftentimes you find yourself in awe of just how much “stuff” you have. Where many people see a frustrating process, Move for Hunger saw this as an opportunity. They have partnered with relocation companies across the United States to take some of the extra non-perishable food off your hands during the moving process. As you are packing, you simply box up your extra food, call Move for Hunger, and a local company will come take it off your hands and deliver it to a local food bank. A simple solution to a burdensome problem that benefits people experiencing food insecurity? Sign us up!

How You Can Help

We will be gathering non-perishable food items at the Random Acts table throughout the weekend. Not sure what to bring? Here are some food items suggested by Move for Hunger.

  • Rice & pasta
  • Cooking oil
  • Fish sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • Diabetic foods
  • Infant formula
  • Canned chicken, SPAM & tuna
  • Soy, rice or almond milk
  • Cold cereal
  • Gluten-free foods
  • Canned goods such as soups, vegetables, fruits & tomatoes
